A new entertainment venue wants to revolutionize football as a real drinking game, and it’s on its way to Dallas from London. TOCA Social plans to move into the Design District in early 2023, featuring high-tech soccer games that invite players to toss soccer balls at targets and more.
Located at 1313 Riverfront Blvd, the three-story venue will span 56,000 square feet and will include four bars for food and beverages and 34 TOCA “boxes” for football games. Interactive competitions are designed for all skill levels, from people who have never kicked a ball before to FC Dallas great fans.
TOCA Social is relatively new to the UK scene, opening its first location in August 2021 in London’s massive entertainment complex, The O2. In Dallas, the menu will be inspired by “some of the best food towns in the world,” according to a press representative. TOCA Social’s creative director of food and drink is Ross Clarke, who previously worked at Fat Duck Experimental Kitchen in Berkshire, England, and as a restaurant consultant in London.
Toca has the authenticity of professional football: the brand was founded by Eddie Lewis, two-time US World Cup and former MLS and English Premier League midfielder. The company also operates Toca Sport football training centers, and plans to open five TOCA Social football entertainment venues by the end of 2023.
It’s not the first British brand dedicated to high-tech bar games to expand to Dallas recently: Electric Shuffle opened in November in Deep Ellum with futuristic shuffleboard games.
