Les Miserables London announce new cast from September 27, 2022

The world’s longest-running musical, Les Miserables, has announced a new cast for the company at London’s Sondheim Theater from September 27, 2022.

Jon Robyns, David Thaxton, Ava Brennan, Robert Tripolino, Nasthania Ong, Lulu Mae Pears.

Cameron Mackintosh is delighted to announce that new cast members are joining the critically acclaimed new production of Wretched at the Sondheim Theater from Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Joining the company from September 27 will be David Thaxton like Javert, Ava Brennan like Fantine, Robert Tripolino like Marius, Nathania Ong like Eponine and Lulu-Mae Pears like Cosette. They join Jon Robyns like Jean Valjean, Gerard Carey like Thenardier, Josefina Gabriellelike Madame Thénardier and Jordan Shaw like Enjolras.

The company also includes Hazel Baldwin, Brad Barnley, Emma Barr, Cameron Burt, Natalie Chua, Matthew Dale, Matt Dempsey, Bryony Duncan, Louis Emmanuel, Sophie-May Feek, Natalie Green, Melad Hamidi, Harry Jack, Christopher Jacobsen, Benjamin Karran, Yazmin King, Bart Lambert, Sarah Lark, Georgie Lovatt, Ellie Ann Lowe, Adam Robert Lewis, Donald Craig Manuel, Jodie Nolan, Sam Peggs, Jo Stephenson, Phoebe Williams and Ollie Wray.

Since Cameron Mackintosh engineered this acclaimed new production of Wretched in 2009, to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversarye birthday, he took the world by storm. It will relaunch its record-breaking North American tour in October this year, with a further tour of the Netherlands scheduled for early 2023 with further productions to be announced. The UK and Ireland tour continues its acclaimed run.

Wretched is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg and is based on the novel by Victor Hugo. It has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, additional material by James Fenton and an adaptation by Trevor Nunn and John Caird. Orchestrations are by Stephen Metcalfe, Christopher Jahnke and Stephen Brooker with original orchestrations by John Cameron. Production is directed by James Powell and Laurence Connor, designed by Matt Kinley inspired by paintings by Victor Hugo with costumes by Andréane Neofitou and Christine Rowland, lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Mick Potter, projections by Finn Ross & Fifty Nine Productions, musical direction by Geoffrey Garratt, and music supervised by Stephen Brooker and Alfonso Casado Trigo.
