New London venue HERE at Outernet announces first wave of shows

HERE at Outernet, a new music venue opening in London this fall, has announced its first wave of shows for 2022 – see full details below.

The performance space will be part of Outernet London, “an immersive, billion-pound media, music and culture district” which will be located on the corner of Oxford Street and Charing Cross Road.

HERE at Outernet, believed to be the largest live event venue to be built in central London since the 1940s, will sit beneath The Now Building, which is described as ‘the world’s most advanced experiential public space which ‘ll feature 23,000 square feet of floor-to-ceiling 16K screens.

According to organizers, 2000 HERE’s capacity at Outernet will accommodate “a wide range of talent across pop, electronic, indie, events and more, in keeping with the multimedia venue’s innovative and progressive ethos.”

Annie Mac will bring her new club night Before Midnight – a dance event “designed for people who need sleep” – to the venue on September 9. This show is already sold out.

“Really thrilled to be able to work with the HERE team to bring Before Midnight to a new state-of-the-art nightclub,” Mac said in a statement. “I took a tour of this place and was bowled over by it. I can’t bleed wait.

On September 10, Hercules And Love Affair is set to play their first headlining concert since 2018 to mark the release of their long-awaited new album “In Amber.” A new queer club night, MILK, will also launch that night with “top DJs and entertainers playing over 10 hours” of music (find ticket details here).

Alfie Templeman is scheduled to perform a HERE Halloween concert on October 31 (ticket information) before 2020 NME 100 graduate Miraa May takes the stage on November 16 (ticket information).

Eurovision 2022 finalist Sam Ryder is set to give two consecutive sold-out concerts on November 23 and 24.

Additionally, HERE will host the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust fundraiser in September to honor the memory and continue the legacy of the late author, broadcaster and DJ who died suddenly in February.

According to a press release, “The Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust aims to support the causes that matter most to Jamal; fighting homelessness; supporting people with mental health issues and providing young people with essential life skills.

“With close friends and families from across the industry, and a special tribute from Jamal’s close friend, Ed Sheeran, the event will remember and celebrate his great influence; the paths he blazed and the lives he touched.

Other events have yet to be confirmed.

Outernet will also bring back 12 Bar Club, which closed in 2015, as part of its plans, with the venue set to return in a 350-seat space. You can find more information here.
