An award-winning London bar that considers soap character Pat Butcher its ‘queen’ is opening a pop-up bar in a Weymouth art gallery.
Little Nan’s Weymouth pop-up bar in Deptford, south-east London, will open inside the Saint Nics Gallery on St Nicholas Street, Weymouth.
It will be open on Friday August 5 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Saturday August 6 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The theme of the bar is all “kitschy, quintessentially British and fun” and was even honored by a visit from EastEnders actor who plays Pat Butcher, Pam St Clement.
The owners of the London bar chose Weymouth as the pop-up destination because grandson Tristan spent every summer as a child in Weymouth with his grandparents who used to live in Dorchester and now live in London himself.
Little Nan’s promises “a fun, boozy experience” with cocktails served in teapots and vases lined with nostalgic sweets.
The Weymouth Art Gallery will be transformed into “a wonderland of all things kitschy and nostalgic, and this time with a seaside circus twist”.
On offer will be a fully stocked bar serving beers, wines and spirits, vodka candy shots and Little Nan’s “disco fries” and “fish finger sarnies.”
The music will be disco anthems, party tunes from the 80s and 90s and early 00s and there will also be a dance floor.
DJ Sii will host on Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The pop-up bar will also have a photo booth room and a separate karaoke room.
