The 29-year-old stalked a student campus in central London, chasing students to their accommodation
Twice in late March and early April 2022, Maurice stalked a student campus in central London, hounding students to their accommodation.
In the first incident, he followed the victim into a laundry room and waited for the room to empty before sexually assaulting her.
In the second incident, he followed the victim to his residence. Upon entering, Maurice followed her and pushed her into his apartment before subjecting her to a series of sexual assaults and attempting to intimidate her into having sex with him. The victim held Maurice back throughout the excruciating ordeal, which lasted more than 12 hours.
In a statement, Scotland Yard said: ‘Officers at the Central West Command Unit were briefed and quickly linked the incidents.
“Maurice has been identified, arrested and charged.”
Investigator Detective Constable Ben Salmon said: ‘Both victims showed considerable courage and bravery following these incidents, which were incredibly frightening for both of them.
“Maurice’s behavior was cold and calculated and I think the public will be that much safer with him behind bars.”
Maurice, of Beaudesert Road, Birmingham, was jailed for six years at Kingston Crown Court on Friday.
