A home care provider in South East and East London celebrates arriving in the final round of the Home Care Awards 2022.

Three Bluebird Care offices achieved the feat of being named finalists for the awards.

The Home Care Awards are the annual benchmark of excellence for UK organizations and businesses providing home care services.

Anoop Sekhon, Director of Bluebird Care’s three offices, said, “To be named a finalist for these awards is an incredible achievement. In the face of a global pandemic, everyone in our Bluebird Care offices has worked extremely hard.

“Time and time again they have gone above and beyond what is expected of our customers. In each of these branches, we have incredible individuals and leaders, they are the real heroes.

“They stayed committed and came together to take on any challenge. Congratulations everyone, you deserve it.”

Bluebird Care Greenwich was shortlisted for the ‘Expertise in Staff Recruitment, Retention and Motivation’ award, while Bluebird Care Docklands, Stratford and Wapping, and Bluebird Care Waltham Forest, were named finalists for ‘Expertise in Mental Health and Care dementia’ and ‘Response to Covid-19’ respectively.

For Bluebird Care Greenwich, their shortlist for “Expertise in Staff Recruitment, Retention and Motivation” comes after another successful year. In a time of great unpredictability, the home care provider has continued to maintain an impressive retention rate, with many of its team members now approaching long-term work anniversaries.

On top of that, Bluebird Care Greenwich has continued to grow, with a carefully structured recruitment process that has seen a number of new care assistants dive in and enter the care industry over the past year.

For Bluebird Care Docklands, Stratford and Wapping, they were shortlisted for a very significant prize. Named a finalist for their exceptional expertise in mental health and dementia care, the home care provider’s team went above and beyond for the 46% of their clients who live with these illnesses.

This feat was primarily achievable because two-thirds of their office team attended the Dementia Friends workshop and are qualified as Dementia Champions, along with many other team members with professional qualifications that support providing fantastic care to these people.

At Bluebird Care Waltham Forest the team have been up to the task throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, going the extra mile for every customer. Thanks to the vigilance and caution of their Care Assistant, since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, none of their clients have tested positive for the virus.

The offices will find out if they triumphed at the awards ceremony on April 1 at the National Conference Center in Solihull.
