The London Clown Festival returns in 2022 with the Soho Theater

The London Clown Festival is a festival of physical comedy and contemporary clown-influenced performance, exploring what clowning is to the modern artist and audience. Filled with physical comedy and Buffoonery London Clown Festival will once again bring the best of British and international clowning to the capital from 27 June to 9 July 2022.

Championing the rise of contemporary clowning, the London Clown Festival continues to provide a performance platform for a plethora of talented artists specializing in clowning and physical performance. The 2022 festival program sees another exciting, inspiring and eclectic mix of artists who embody the principles of this timeless art form from countries around the world.

The London Clown Festival has partnered with the Soho Theater for the 2022 festival, with all shows staged at the Soho Theater upstairs. With the exception of the opening cabaret which will be held at Soho Downstairs, the Cabaret bar of the Soho Theatre.

International highlights include Garry Starr: Greece Lightning and Josh Glanc: Vrooom Vrooom (both joining London Clown Festival from Australia) and Inda Pereda’s Lubbert (joining London Clown Festival from Spain)

The London Clown Festival was founded in 2016 with the aim of sharing the joy and exhilaration of Clown with as wide an audience as possible and helping to broaden the image of Clown in the public consciousness.
