The London Transport Museum will host a ‘street party’ on the Elizabeth Line

Painting the city purple, the London Transport Museum will host the ‘street party’ event on Friday 9th September from 6.45pm

The event will see a Late-themed “street party” to celebrate the opening of the Elizabeth line and will be hosted by historical figures from each decade of the Queen’s reign.

Guests will be seated around a giant street party table and can enjoy nostalgic games such as hopscotch, snakes and ladders and creative entertainment such as bracelet making.

A series of short, moderated lectures on the Elizabeth Line will also be hosted by documentary curator Rosamund Lily West and will reveal how the museum chooses contemporary objects to collect and what artifacts and works of art people will see in the future when they see them. wish. to find out more about the opening of the Elizabeth line.

Event guests will also be able to ride historic buses, tube trains and trams of the past while uncovering the secrets of London’s disused underground stations in the award-winning Hidden London exhibition and The Future Engineers gallery will offer participants the chance to learn how to drive an Elizabeth line train.

Purple cocktails inspired by the Elizabeth line will also be available at the bar, and guests can explore the Museum’s exhibits after dark.
