Welcome to NYLON’s Fit Picks, a weekly roundup of our favorite celebrity outfits.
The press tour for Spider-Man: No Path Home is officially underway, and Zendaya is already serving up her best looks on the red carpet. On Sunday, December 5, the actress attended the film’s London premiere with a full Alexander McQueen look. Designed by his favorite image architect Law Roach, the Zendaya set was a tribute to the Spider Man franchise with raindrop crystal embroidery that looked like straps all over her double breasted blazer and over the knee boots. She also accessorized her look with diamond spider web earrings that feature a spider-shaped pendant and pearls.
This isn’t the first time Zendaya has referred to her new film on the red carpet. Returning in November at the 2021 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris, the actress wore a vintage Roberto Cavalli dress (from fall 2000, to be exact) with a gold spine jewel on the back. Shortly after its first appearance, a fan account pointed out that the open embellishment may have been a reference to the villainous Dr. Octopus from Spider Man. “Zendaya as Dr. Octopus, but do it in fashion. The embodiment of villainous Zendaya, ”the account wrote in the caption of her post, which the actress reposted on her own Instagram Stories.
With Spider-Man: No Path Home won’t hit theaters until Thursday, December 16, there are still plenty of exciting red carpet opportunities for Zendaya to come. In the meantime, check out her latest look in Alexander McQueen in more detail below.
